BP8_Myoats

This site is a great site for drawing or creating designs or logo, it is free to join, and easy to get started. Anyone that can draw a line can design to image above, it might look complicated but it is very easy to do, the site does all the work for you, and the only thing you the drawer or designer have to do is know how to draw a line, and you logo will be something you never thought it would be. Myoats might look complicated and intimidating at first but once you get started, the rest is easy to use. Also if the site likes your design then the site owners will put it on the homepage so everyone can see it when they log on to this site. This site deals with line usage, just like drawing, so if you are starting out or are an advance drawing you can create images in a matter of minutes, but if you were to do that same image on paper it might take a couple of hours, the only thing you need on this site is a very creative and imaginative mind.

I have recently posted a comment on Jonnika Dixon blog about a web 2.0 tool called Twiddla, follow this link.

BP4_GoAnimate

The Second web 2.0 tool that I found that is useful and helpful, is a site called GoAnimate. This site is free to use, the only thing you have to do is sign up and start creating your own animation, then once your done you can post this on youtube or on your own personal site. GoAnimate also has a feature that allows the user to upload their own images and use them in their animation.

This site is good for anyone who is a beginner in animation, this is a user friendly site and anyone who is creative and has an imagination can animate their own cartoon however they see fit. This site is also great for teachers who wants to teach their elementary students anything, the teachers and/or students have a free range of lessons. One example is that I can use this tool for my Action Research project, because I can animate the characters, and have a conversation and teach people at the same time, just like the Disney cartoon Handy Manny.

I can have my friends and my wife help me and I can put a good animation together, that would be related to my AR project. The use of this animation site is endless, it can be incorporated into almost any subject, or situation that the user sees fit.

BP3_Web2.0tools

Before I get started on a website that I found and messed around with it, the picture that I have on this blog I created it using the Make a Picture tool in the site called Kerpoof.

One website that I found interesting and good for students K-5 is a web site called Kerpoof. This site is a teaching tool where teachers can teach their students about art. This site has everything from creating a small movie complete with animation, and even music.

Students can also if they want just doodle with either a pen, marker, crayon, and this app also come with an eraser, just in case. Then also if the student wants to draw there is an app for that as well on this site. The drawing app comes complete with fonts, and also if the student wants they can save their drawing as a Jpeg file and save it on the computer for either personal use or for grading.

There are also app in this site to make cards, stories. It even has an app for the student to practice their spelling, because in order for the student to get a zebra then the student will have to spell it out in oder for a picture of the zebra to come into the picture. If the student does not know how to spell the object or animal he/she wants, then they will not get the picture. So this is a good application to teach students how to spell while they are using their creative minds.

Over all this site is great for teachers to get the students started in using their creative and artistic part of their brains. This site also has lesson plans for teachers to follow for their classrooms, and also if a person you like to see examples, this site has them as well.
